This year for the second time, @slashfilmfest invited us to be mentors for their CAMPFIRE TALES story development workshop/pitching event. We were incredibly honored to support 2 of the 6 chosen young Austrian genre talents, helping them to develop their story outlines into treatments.
We were happy and excited to work with @klararabl and @tobiasvees on their awesome projects KILL YOUR DARLINGS and MAHR - and to see how these two talented and hard-working writers put their creativity and energy to work!
And we were incredibly happy (but, to be honest, not at all surprised) when BOTH projects ended up winning the campfire tales competition, together with equally talented Daniel Krunz!
Congratulations from the bottom of our hearts to all three of you! The amounts of work and creativity you each put into your projects - both the treatments as well as the incredible pitches that you performed on stage in front of a jury - was amazing to watch!
Congratulations also to our fellow co- mentors Anna de Paoli and @hartl_dominik !
A big THANK YOU obviously goes to @slashfilmfest , Markus Keuschnigg and @ladynorisknofun
for creating this amazing opportunity for young Austrian genre filmmakers, a platform that in a couple of years will probably be considered the cornerstone of the internationally known „Austrian Horror“ subgenre!
Looking forward to seeing where this journey will lead and to hopefully seeing these amazing projects on the big screen in a couple of years!
